Privacy Policy

Privacy policy for the mobile app

This privacy policy applies to the WhatsThatVerse iOS app. Effective date: April 10, 2026.

What the app collects

The current version of the app does not create user accounts and does not ask you to submit personal information inside the app.

The app stores a small amount of information locally on your device so it can work as expected:

  • Your recent search history
  • Your selected Bible translation
  • Your preferred appearance setting, such as light or dark mode

What is sent off your device

Based on the current app implementation, your verse searches, search history, and preferences are not transmitted to the developer from within the app.

The app does not currently use sign-in, advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or in-app tracking.

How your data is used

Local data is used only to support app features on your device, such as reusing recent searches and remembering your translation and appearance choices.

How to delete local data

You can clear your recent searches at any time from the Settings screen in the app by using the Clear Search History option.

If you want to remove all locally stored app data, you can delete the app from your device.

Children's privacy

The app is not designed to collect personal data from children. The current app version does not include in-app account creation or in-app personal data collection.

Support requests

If you choose to contact support by email or through GitHub, you may provide information such as your email address and the contents of your message. That information is only used to respond to your request and is also subject to the privacy practices of the platform you use to contact support.

Changes to this policy

If app features change in a way that affects privacy, this page will be updated before or when those changes are released.
